Sir Frederick Gibberd College – Outdoor Dining Canopy

Sir Frederick Gibberd College is a secondary school in Harlow with a common problem – not enough indoor dining space.

They chose Kensington Systems to install a large 24m x 12m dining canopy inside their courtyard to provide additional dining space and relieve overcrowding inside.

The canopy’s large surface area (over 500sqm) and sheltered location in the courtyard help to keep children safe and dry. The college’s catering pod is also conveniently located close by.

The project included extensive groundworks, including replacing a grassed area with block paving, installing drainage channels, and relocation of a lamp post (and the associated electrical work). Kensington Systems managed the whole project, giving the college minimal hassle and a single point of contact through the process.
