New School Dining Canopy at Joseph Leckie Academy, Walsall

Joseph Leckie Academy, a high-performing, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ School in Walsall, West Midlands, needed more dining space for its pupils. The school had implemented staggered lunch times so that different year groups were eating at different times.

They contacted Kensington Systems to install a new outdoor dining canopy in a courtyard. The canopy has side walls and heaters, keeping it protected from the weather and comfortable in the winter months. As part of the contract Kensington also supplied picnic tables for students to use.

The new canopy installation has provided the school with significantly more dining provision, at a fraction of the cost of building a new dining hall.
