The Deaf Academy in Exmouth has been excelling in providing a quality education for the deaf since 1826 and Kensington Systems were asked to work with Midas Construction to provide covered areas for the students to play and eat.
The new flagship building provides a state-of-the-art education facility with modern and large classrooms with excellent therapeutic capacity. Kensington was able to carry this exceptional quality outside the building with a range of high-quality products.
Of special note is the bespoke steel canopy to provide a dry walkway between the buildings whatever the weather. With a unique feature of blending the two buildings with a matching facia, this structure was perfect for the application.
Also notable are the vibrant Sailshade structures which add a dash of colour to the site while providing a fun atmosphere for the students. Outdoor seating was also provided, giving all the pupils a place to sit. Timber cycle shelters made way for a premium bike storage facility for both staff and students. Finally, we provided glass entrance canopies over many of the doorways providing a minimalist solution to cover DDA regulations.
