City Hall Bristol is a fine example of British Architecture at it’s best. This Iconic city Grade II listed building is a significant example of the work of Riba Gold Medalist Vincent Harris, a leading expert in municipal office design. Kensington Systems were called on by a Bristol based architectural specialist in conjunction with Bristol City Council to provide advice and solutions for the commercial window blinds, motorised blinds, curtains and curtain restoration works on this project with the end goal of maintaining the building’s historical features, whilst updating office space and improving the building’s exterior and public spaces. This prestigous project has since won the “Project of the Year” award by Construction Excellence South West
What the client said:
Craig initially helped us with a sun screen and blackout blind product specification suitable for the refurbishment project of the grade 2* listed City Hall in Bristol. Craig was extremely attentive and his experience and knowledge resulted in the scope of work being expanded to include dress curtains for the conference hall and the restoration of curtains in the council chamber and other rooms of heritage importance. The project was well executed and we look forward to working with Craig again on other projects.
