Conserving Natural Resources
A hybrid canopy manufactured partly from timber, partly from aluminium provides much better value for money than a standard timber canopy, which a school might turn to, to save money.
Using aluminium for some of the components makes the hybrid more durable and longer lasting than a standard timber canopy. This means replacement is required less often, saving money and conserving natural resources. Aluminium is highly recyclable material, and can be recycled many times without losing quality.
Solar Panel Integrated Timber Canopy
Unlike an all-timber canopy, aluminium roof rafters can easily accommodate solar panels on the roof due to their high strength-to-density ratio, whereas timber rafters need to be larger and thicker to support the weight of the glass. This makes it much easier to fit or retrofit solar PV panels onto your canopy at a later date.
